New BOT Member of VIVAT: Sr. Sharlet Ann Wagner, CSC

VIVAT warmly welcomes Sr. Sharlet Ann Wagner, CSC, as its newest member of the Board of Trustees. Recently elected President of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Sr. Sharlet brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her role.

Since 2020, Sr. Sharlet has been the executive director of the Newcomer Network at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington. This impactful program offers immigrants essential legal services and comprehensive support systems. Her extensive background includes serving as the first councilor of the Congregation’s General Administration from 2014 to 2019 and as general secretary from 2009 to 2014.

Sr. Sharlet’s dedication to service is highlighted by her earlier work as an immigration attorney and department director with Holy Cross Ministries, a nonprofit based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her commitment to supporting immigrant communities extends further with her experience as an attorney at the Central American Resource Center and as a clinic volunteer in Uganda. She has also enriched education as a high school English and journalism teacher in the United States.

We are confident that Sr. Sharlet’s deep expertise and compassionate leadership will contribute greatly to VIVAT’s mission.
