On 29 January 2019, VIVAT International participated in the launching of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Report on Trafficking in Persons at the UN Headquarters. This is the 4th report which is mandated by the UN General Assembly as the international commitment to combat this heinous crime. It covers 142 countries and provides an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at global, regional and national levels, based primarily on trafficking cases detected between 2014 and 2016.
