India: Domestic workers union celebrates Women’s Day

International Women’s Day was celebrated by Madhya Pradesh Domestic workers trade union at St Raphael’s School campus. Aged domestic workers were honored by the union by giving shawls and coconuts.

Inspector of police of Azad Nagar police station lndresh Tripathi, Director of Barli Development Institute for Rural Women; Indore Tahera Jadhav, Adv Reshmi Pandit, Adv Maya Tiwari, Adv Ritu bhargav, Adv Anjum Parek, Adv Geetanjali chorasiya, Adv Rudrapal yadav, Sarika shrivastav, Harnaam singh dharival, Laxmi Narayan pathak were the Guests on this auspicious day. The guests were, welcomed with plant saplings. Around 530 Domestic workers, along with guests, were present.

Sr Rosina Joseph SSpS, the Director of Madhya Pradesh Domestic Workers, welcomed everyone on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Tahera Jadhav, the Guest, explained the true meaning of women empowerment and gender equality, the dignity of labor and service – as work done in the spirit of worship.

Tl Indresh Tripathi appreciated the contribution of women in every field and their important service. Adv Reshmi pandit explained the rights of women within the constitution of India.

The master of the ceremony was Prabha Yadav & Bharti borasi. Mathias Kelwa presented the activities of the Madhya Pradesh domestic workers & Trade Union through a short video. Francina Nelson gave the vote of thanks.
